In a commitment to social return, QKunst is going to accompany five interns during a collection registration internship at the Province of Gelderland this April. QKunst team member Imee Luteijn, who works as an art consultant the Province of Gelderland, will be accompanying the interns at the Provincial House in Arnhem.
‘The collection consists of 2400 objects. These have all been registered, but there are some gaps and inconsistencies. The interns will check the whole collection, to complete the missing information and make sure that it is registered in a consistent way. For these students, this is an opportunity to get to know a valuable collection outside the walls of a museum, and to have a great number of works pass through their hands, an opportunity that is rarely presented to them at university. Thanks to this internship, they will have a better chance to find a job in their field of work, and that fits the social return concept. For the province and for QKunst, this is a good way to share knowledge and experience with the upcoming generation of art professionals.’
